Bed Rest

The past couple of weeks have been a liitle stressful with my Wife having to go to the hospital because she started pre-term labor. Everything ended up being OK after a couple of hours at the Birth Center. They gave her some med sand that worked for about a week and then we had to go back and they up'd her meds and things have been going really well.

She had her first baby shower and everything was great and she had a great time. I have had to finish up the room and take care of her, when I am not working. The room is basically done, just have some touch up to do here and there. We have been on some drives lately, so she can get out of the house and doesn't go crazy. We drove up to the falls so she could see it, and that lasted all of ten minutes because she got tired and it was hot. Speaking of hot, I feel so bad for my wife, We had to deal with the hottest day ever in Seattle and she can't do a damn thing. I am glad that my parents live close and have AC. My parents were picking her up at 10am and she would stay up there until I would come and get her.

Not much else is going on around here, but I would like to note that I did get the wallpaper up this time with no staples. Today we went out to My family reunion and visited with everyone, and she got to show her belly off. It was a lot of fun bbut was cut short because we need to get her home to lay down. I hope she does good at the drive-ins tonight.

Been awhile.

Well it been awhile since I last wrote and there has been a lot happening. I have been working a lot and my wife is getting bigger and she is starting to move a little slower. She is 30 weeks pregnant today and as of last week at 29 weeks, the baby was measuring 31 weeks, I told her he was going to be a big one. He is very healthy and is moving around very often.

As for me I have been also trying to get Austin's room done and I am pretty much on my own for this, which is kinda the way i wanted it. My parents went out and bought a dresser and her parents bought us the crib. They have both parents have been very helpful through this time and I am thankful to have all of them around. We have gotten a bunch of stuff off of ebay, Man I am addicted to ebay now. I have got everything set where I want it and am well on my way to being done.

One thing that was the hardest to do was putting up the wall border. Man the wall border says self stick, well that's a bunch of crap. I put that shit up and by the time I get to the other side of the room it is falling off. I go and put it back up again and down it comes. I went through this for three days, so I sanded the walls like everyone says and screw all of you people and your sand the wall crap cause that shit does not work either. I found the best way to make the shit work and that was to staple the son-of -a bitch up there and I want to see the shit come down now. I had to use the littlest stapler in the world to get this job done also.

Now if anyone says wow what an anger issue this fucker has. Well you weren't standing on two chairs with your arms hung over your head like a fucking monkey, tying not to do the splits, the
paper keeps falling on your head and your trying to use anything possible to hold this crap up. You know now that i think about it I was playing twister in the fucking air. It is all good now and I put the staples in the borderline so nobody will ever know the difference.

Other then that everything is going good and I just can't wait for my son to get here. Also for the people that keep telling me he is not going to be able to swing a bat when he comes out. I know this and I am prepared to wait till he is 6 months old or so!!!!!

A couple of weeks

It's been a couple of weeks since I have posted, sorry to those who have been on the edge of there seats and are waiting to hear from me. Well we found out we are having a boy, I told all you people that I had it in me and everyone had doubts. Just goes to show you I've always been right and always will be right. (DADDY ALWAYS WINS). IF YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways everything has been going good, Nichole is really starting to show now. The baby is kicking a lot and either really likes fruit or really hates it hard to say but she says he kicks a lot when she is eating it. I can't wait till I can feel him kick. Nichole has been playing him music and he seems to like that too. Lately he has not been giving her any trouble at all and she is really enjoying being pregnant. I do have to say though pregnant woman's balance is horrible, one minute your talking to her and she trys to do something and then goes stumbling across the room. Your like what the fuck was that, Last time I did that it was after 7 pitchers of beer and 6 tequila shots. Then she looks at yaou and says it's OK, I just got dizzy for a second. I guess that is normal.

Your telling me that you can't walk a straight line and you can't remeber a damn thing. No wonder she is enjoying being pregnant, it's like being drunk 24/7. I've been letting her drive my truck more just in case she hits anyone she will not get hurt.( just playin')

I am getting ready to start on the baby's room, it is going to be decorated in all Classic Winnie the Pooh. Other than that nothing much is new.

Just Need to Hear the Heartbeat

It's been a week, and everything is going well. She had to work Saturday and I played 5 straight games of softball with no breaks. Losing the first game always sucks, just gotta keep winning after that. We missed some birthday parties because my games went late and I was tired. We both had Sunday off and went out to breakfast in Enumclaw at the Kettle (man that is some good food). She had her normal waffle with strawberries and lots of whipped cream, she can never finish it, so I try and help but the portions are so big you have to roll yourself out of there. Later in the day she went to hang out with her friends in Puyallup and I redid her garden and planted flowers for her. Not bad for me but it was actually relaxing out there in the sun.

Monday, I decided it was a little to nice to go into work, after being up half the night with her worrying if the baby was OK. She has got this thing now, if she feels good and is not sick, she thinks there is something wrong with the baby. I try and tell her that everything is alright but she doesn't want to hear it, she just wants to hear the baby's heartbeat. We enjoyed the sun outside
and relaxed on the porch together, also went out to eat with my parents at the Golden Steer Restaurant. Then we all headed over to this new store in Covington called "Kids to Kids". We were all amazed at the stuff this store had and the prices were very reasonable. She ended up getting to pairs of Maternity pants and she also found a Winnie-the-pooh sleeper for the baby. It is really cute, but we really can't buy anything until Monday when we find out the sex of the baby.

Tuesday, she is still worried about the baby in the morning when I am leaving for work and just wants to hear the heartbeat to see if he/she is OK. She asks me if it's OK to go and see the doctor to find out. I told her she can go when ever she wants if that makes her feel better. She actually started to cry at the doctors office because she hadn't heard it in awhile. This is why now we are looking into renting a heartbeat monitor, so she can hear the heartbeat when ever she wants. I don't know if this is normal in pregnant women but I believe it would be more in first time mothers. I just love the way she is so concerned about everything and I am just laying back and telling her it will all be OK. I was right again though, everything is good with the baby, and he/she has a strong heartbeat.

Today is 5 months from the due date and Monday we find out the sex, it's gonna be a rough next couple of days till we find out. Hopefully we get the heartbeat machine soon, or she might turn into a nutcase.

Long Week

Well it 's been over a week, and there is probably more stuff to write then I can remember. I was working a lot of overtime last week and didn't have a lot of free time. Thursday and Friday were pretty normal days and everything was going well. We went out to dinner with my parents, sister and nieces, and then went down to Joe's (formally GI JOE'S) and all of the sudden Nichole gets sick out of nowhere and she is walking around with my mom and I am talking to a Buddy there. I get this page which tells me to go over to the dressing room and then my niece tells me Nichole is in the Truck waiting for me. I go outside and she is puking her guts out and sitting in the truck and leaning out. S o we head home and stop on the way and she pukes again. We thought the puking was over but boy were we surprised.

Saturday we both had to work,(she had to leave early because she puked again) then I went to hitting practice and then went home to pick her up and head over to my parents to color Easter eggs and look at old photos of my childhood. I was an extremely cute baby and not much has changed. I was also a very hyper baby and still not much has changed. There were pictures of all 4 of us kids and all 4 of my nieces, Plus there were pictures of all my grandparents. This got me thinking about my grandpa, so I went home and looked up his name and ended up finding out who my 7Th great grandparent was on my mom's side. Pretty cool. Coloring eggs was fun but it was mostly for Nichole and the girls. There was also a lot of talk about how next year there will be a little rugrat with us too. Probably not doing much but he/she will be dress up cute is all I hear.

Sunday was time to hide the eggs and make my nieces find them and eat the normal ham and deviled eggs with egg salad sandwich. Both of the girls were dress up and looked really cute, they missed some eggs the first time around because My brother and I are master egg hiders. HAHA!! After we were done there we went for a nap and then got up and headed out to her parents house for Easter dinner. It was nice to visit with them, but there was an unexpected guest there, one of her mom's friend. Lets just say, I will stay on the nice side of how I feel about some of the things that she said. She has her own opinions which is great, but she got into it with Nichole over some issues and I love that Pregnant women are feisty. Nichole wasn't backing down and they kept going for awhile. I'll go ahead and end it here, there was more written but I erased it to KEEP THE PEACE!!!!

This whole week has been pretty good and not much has been going on. Nichole is feeling much better and we found out Tuesday that the baby's test were negative for everything and the baby is very healthily. I am very happy about this and hopefully all continues to go well. Nichole came down to have lunch with me two days this week, that's a record but loved it. Thanks Little Goose. I also went to the mariners game on Tuesday, it was a lot of fun and give it about three years and I will be taking the little one with me. My brother bought the baby some Washington Husky onesies (don't know how to spell it) and there are going to look really cute or the baby. Nichole didn't mind it to much, knowing that I will probably try and buy every piece of Husky clothing for a baby that I can. I did buy her a pink and grey mariners hoodie (that she's been wanting for awhile now), so that probably lightened the blow a little bit. Got to think ahead with the pregnant woman's one track mind.

Relaxing?

The last couple of days have been non-stop on the go. This weekend we (Nichole and I) started out early Saturday, driving out to her bank in Lakewood so she could get a new pin for her debit card. This was actually more of an adventure. First we have to stop at Starbucks because she is cold an needs Starbucks to warm her up. Not the heater in the truck, no that will not do she says her insides are cold. Must be a woman thing because when I'm cold, I'm just cold. Not inside or outside, just cold. Anyways we head out there and have some fun conversation and then we get there and they tell us to sit down and they'll be right with us. About 20 minutes later they come out and tell us they thought we were with the older couple that was there, so they felt bad and gave us magnets and coffee mugs(how fitting for the day).

After the bank we go over to Baby's-r-us and look around at baby clothes and I start to notice the more we look she is always goes to the girls clothes and says "Honey look st this it's so cute". She is trying to change my mind about wanting a boy. I will love him/her the same but just think it will be easier to start off with a boy. I already have four nieces and it would be nice to give my parents a grandson. She always goes to the pink and brown stuff, which she loves and I am not all that fond of. She is defiantly more into fashion than I am. She always wants to be perfect and look great(which I love about her, because she makes me look better), but I can throw on anything and be comfortable in it and if someone don't like it that's there problem. We did pick up one of those heartbeat monitor. When we got home we listened to the heartbeat as best we could. It says it works best in the 3rd trimester but we are going to try and hear it anyways.

On Sunday I really didn't get to see Nichole that much because of my Softball practice and then she headed over to her parents while I had some friends over for Wrestlemania.

Yesterday we went to the doctor for a check up and listen to the baby's heart beat and it still going good. The doc says the baby sounds good and we go back on the 27th to find out the sex of our baby. After the doctor we came home and I got ready to watch the first Mariners came but then she wanted a ICEE and just had to have me go with her. Well this went from going to get an ICEE( that we never got), to going shopping at Kohl's for a pink shirt. That we kinda found but then we headed out to Kent so we could Look at Lane Bryant so we could look at more clothes. I am trying to help her look but our tastes are to say "A LITTLE DIFFERENT". We ended up getting her three shirts( two at Kohl's and one at Lane Bryant). Then we head home and I tell her that we can stop anywhere she wants to eat and she wants Jack-in-the-Box, but says she doesn't want to go there because I will complain. I told her I wouldn't complain this time(so read previous blogs please for explanation). Then we headed home and argued on the way we are going to raise the baby and gets crazy things going in her head but then she eats and I finally get to talk and she settles down about everything.

Today we both worked long hours and were really busy. I had Softball practice for my work team and then took her some McDonalds for her last break. This is really all the time we have had today. She just got home so I am going to see my Little Goose.

Memory

The past couple of days have been interesting, Work has been really slow and there is not a lot to do. There is just enough to get through the day. My wife(Nichole) has been working her two 12 hour shifts for the week. We don't get that much time together because she gets home and I'm going to bed. We do however get to eat together when I get home (her lunch and my dinner).

Yesterday we went and ate dinner (lunch) with my parents and sister at McDonald's for my nieces mcteacher night. This is a fundraiser for the elementary schools. Nichole is very happy because she gets fast food again. I had a lot of fun and it's for a good cause.

Well then there is today, this is where the loss of memory from a pregnant woman comes in. I get home from work and fix her some lunch. I have been telling her that since she got paid today she would have to buy the groceries because I am going to pay bills with our joint money. We decide that I am going to take her card and go alone and she goes back to work but she can't remember the pin to her card and tells me I think it this.I decide to take a nap and when she calls and wakes me up I tell her to come home on her break and I will drive her back to work so we can go to the store together. She drives home and we decide to hit the store really fast and get Dog and Cat food, Also she needs a snack( just had to have one). Well we get the stuff and go to pay and she can't remember the pin and keeps trying to put different ones in. Now the card is shut off because of to many false tries and she is upset because she can't remember. I personally didn't get upset but I did start laughing after we got outside, which " isn't helping the situation" she says. I mean come on you are standing there and ring everything up and then can't figure out your pin. Yeah it's looks embarrassing, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you must laugh at others right? I love Nichole so much, that this little instant makes me love her more. She is so fragile and stubborn it makes me never want to lose my mind.

You make me smile everyday my Goose.
